Singapore announce Mission Foods Nations Cup squad

New Singapore coach, Natalie Milicich has named her inaugural squad ahead of the Mission Foods Nation Cup that takes place early in December.

The annual event that takes place between the 3rd and 9th of December at the OCBC Arena in Singapore, will feature six teams from across the world. Joining hosts Singapore are – Malaysia, Ireland, Hong Kong, Swaziland and Cook Islands. Six teams now compete in this competition which has been taking place since 2006.

Singapore are the first team to announce their squad for the upcoming event. The squad consist a blend of experience and youth, with three players set to make their debut in this competition.

Coach Milicich has selected Vanessa Lee as captain and Nurul Baizura and Charmaine Soh as co vice captains. Siti Nurshawallah is set to win her first cap for her country.

The squad travels to Auckland for a training camp on the 18th November where they will play against club sides in preparations for the competition in December.
