Semi-finals and Finals of the Netball World Cup 2019
The 20th July was another incredible day at the M&S Bank Arena as 4 teams fought for their place in the Netball World Cup 2019 final.
Australia took to the court first playing against South Africa in an intense game which saw Australia steal the win by two points with the game ending on 55-53. The atmosphere in the arena was electric, with the crowd roaring both teams along and the result made this game the joint-closest World Cup semi-final ever.
The afternoon session saw the hosts, England go up against New Zealand with the Silver Ferns going on to repeat their 2015 World Cup semi-final performance by knocking out the England Roses. It was another close game with New Zealand winning by two points making it another electrifying game which was backed by an incredible home crowd.
The Netball World Cup 2019 final will take place at 16:45PM between Australia and New Zealand with one team being crowned world champions after 10 days of netball and a phenomenal history-making tournament.
