NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN FOR THE WORLD NETBALL COURAGE AMBASSADOR

Nominations are now open as we begin the search to find our World Netball Courage Ambassador. 

To help celebrate and mark the exciting rebrand of the International Netball Federation to World Netball and launch of the sport’s strategic plan, we’re on the hunt to find an inspirational candidate that embodies strength, perseverance, and resilience. 

 

Our Courage Ambassador will stand alongside a team of star ambassadors from the world of netball and beyond, each representing one of the core values of World Netball. 

Representing the qualities of thinking big, decisiveness, and the perseverance to make a difference, our Courage Ambassador will have a real story to tell. They will have a story of inspiration – whether they themselves were inspired by netball or have inspired others through the sport to embrace opportunities and fulful their potential.  

Has netball helped you create a better world in your community through your career or volunteering?

Do you know someone who transformed their health and fitness through netball? 

Perhaps the support of their netball team or circle helped them navigate tough times?

what does being our courage ambassador mean?

The selected candidate will become the official World Netball Courage Ambassador alongside fellow ambassadors who will comprise of globally recognised athletes, officials and sporting figures.

- The Courage Ambassador will live and breathe netball - embodying all of World Netball's key values.
- The Courage Ambassador will need to be ready for and willing to tell their story - this may involved speaking to the media and journalists.
- We'll ask for any photos that help illustrate this story - and permission to use them.
- The Courage Ambassador will enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the Netball World Cup 2023 in South Africa so must be willing to travel and be able to access their nearest International airport.
