Last weekend Belfast, Northern Ireland hosted the annual Netball Europe U17 Championship. The event began on the 3rd March and came to an end on the 5th March. The weekend saw the U17 England Roses unbeaten and winning the Championship and Netball Switzerland were victorious in the Netball Europe Challenge Section.
Live coverage of a few games were shown on Netball Northern Ireland’s Facebook page including a well contested draw on the first day between Wales and Scotland.
The Netball Europe U17 Championship’s Player of the Tournament was Elysse Haywood from Wales and Gibraltar’s Anna Hernandez picked up the Player of the Challenge Cup accolade.
