World Netball Event Consultant Kate Agnew Receives Netball New Zealand Service Award

World Netball would like to congratulate their Event Consultant, Kate Agnew, who has received a Netball New Zealand (NNZ) Service Award at the NNZ 2023 AGM.

This is a prestigious award which recognises an individual who has made a significant contribution to the game of Netball that has enhanced the game at the local, regional, national and/or international level.

Kate worked at Netball New Zealand for over 20 years, taking on various roles from Youth Netball Manager to Game Development Manager and Operations Director, before being made Head of Events and International in 2014.

During that time, Kate was the Head of Operations for the 2007 World Netball Championships followed by the role of Tournament Director and INF (now World Netball) Technical Delegate for the 2009 World Youth Netball Championships, 2011 World Netball Cup 2011, 2017 World Masters Games and Netball World Youth Cup 2021, as well as undertaking these roles for four editions of FAST5 Netball World Series, to name just a few of her many roles.

After leaving Netball New Zealand, Kate joined World Netball as an Event Consultant in 2022and is working in conjunction with the Vitality Netball World Cup 2023, and World Netball Member associations and Regional Federations to ensure World Netball and other international netball events are delivered to World Class Standards and to support the Federation in the strategic development of our event portfolio.
