World Netball Announces officials for NWC2023

World Netball (WN) has today announced the International Technical Officials (ITO) and the National Technical Officials (NTO) selected for the Netball World Cup 2023 (NWC2023), in Cape Town.

23 ITO have been selected, including 6 for the Umpire Appointment Panel (UAP) and 17 Umpires. 26 NTO have been selected to fulfil the roles of Technical Officials and Statisticians. The full list of ITO and NTO can be found below. Non-travelling reserves have also been selected who are not named. The team of Officials detailed below, will join the already appointed NWC2023 Technical Delegate, Charlotte Scholtz.

Speaking on the announcement, World Netball International Officiating Manager, Christina Barrow, said: “The Netball World Cup is one of the most prestigious events in the World Netball world class events calendar, and it is always a privilege to be able to announce the officials that have been selected, which is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and talent.

“All the World Netball officials work on a voluntary basis, and we appreciate all the time they give up to make each and every International Netball event a success.

“I would like to take this opportunity to wish those selected well at the Netball World Cup 2023, in Cape Town.”

Netball World Cup 2023 Head of Technical, Magriet Bester, added: “We are looking forward to an amazing show of international netball.

“The Selected National Technical Oficials were trained during South Africa’s National Premium League, (Telkom Netball League) and international competitions hosted by Netball South Africa.

“Champion Data then joined us in 2022, identifying and training officials for Netball World Cup 2023.

“Having the expertise of Champion Data headed by Christian Eshman, it gives us pleasure to announce that the team is ready and looking forward to the experience awaiting them during the Netball World Cup 2023.”
