PULSE MAKE HISTORY WINNING ANZ PREMIERSHIP FOR THE THIRD TIME

Pulse have made history in the ANZ Premiership as they have become the first team to win three premiership titles with a 56-37 win over Stars in the Grand Final.

It was an all-round masterclass performance from the team that finished the league top of the table, with everyone stepping up on the final day.

The opening minutes of the match weren’t Pulse’s finest, with the team struggling to find their rhythm and Stars Anna Harrison (Silver Fern) and Elle Temu making their mark in defence.

However, as the quarter progressed Pulse took control with Aliyah Dunn scoring a flurry of six goals straight to allow her team to take a 15-6 lead into the first break.

From then on Pulse continued to extend their lead winning the remaining three quarters, until they won the game and the Grand Final by 19 goals.

One international player that led her Pulse side from the off, was co-captain Kelly Jury, who made eight gains, whilst at the other end of the court Dunn continued to impress shooting at 94%, scoring 44 of her 47 shots.

The stats reflect just how well both player have performed all season, with Dunn finishing the season with 618 goals to her name and top of the goals scored chart, and Jury finishing the season topping both the deflections and interceptions charts.

It was a performance that saw Jury named Most Valuable Player of the match.

Congratulations to Pulse on their victory!
