Netball’s Worldwide profile continues to expand

For netball to continue to grow its worldwide profile, it’s important to take netball to places that you wouldn’t always expect. In this newsletter, we’re focusing on some of the countries who are doing just that, including an international star visiting a nation with little experience of netball.

Cambodia

Former England star Pamela Cookey recently spent a week in Cambodia, introducing women and children to netball. Pamela (pictured back) left with memories to last a lifetime – you can read more about her trip @PamelaCookey.

England

England Netball is making the most of the northern hemisphere summer by taking a transportable netball court to unexpected places around the country. You can follow its progress using #NetballAnywhere.

Tonga

Tonga Netball took their sport to a night market recently, with the aim of raising its profile. The market was organised by Women in Sustainable Enterprises – a great partner to support netball and showcase it to a new audience.

Wales

Welsh Netball teamed up with StreetGames Wales recently, to give young people a taste of netball. Both boys and girls had the chance to try netball, at a multi-sport festival at their national stadium.
