Women’s Sport Leadership Academy

The Women’s Sport Leadership Academy (WSLA) is dedicated to developing tomorrow’s leaders of sport.

The main component of the Academy is a week-long residential at the University of Chichester hosted since 2014. Combining the essential elements for self-critical learning and development, the unique learning environment includes high-profile guest speakers, workshops, personal development planning, national and international support groups, as well as physical activities.

WSLA also comprises facilitator training and support, graduate support, networking and mentoring, and research. Bespoke courses using the WSLA brand and concept have also been delivered under license in the New Zealand Olympic Committee (with retired elite-level athletes), Women and Sport Botswana (with predominantly African leaders), and with the University of Hertfordshire (with high-performance coaches).

The 2020 WSLA residential week will be hosted from Monday 15th to Friday 19th June 2020 at the University of Chichester, UK.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 11th December 2019
