The Hong Kong Four Nations Tournament gets underway on Thursday (8th), featuring Singapore, Ireland and Grenada. Here is our preview.
Only six spaces in the INF World Rankings separate all four sides who will be competing at the Kowloon Park sports Centre over the next four days.
Singapore are the highest ranked side, currently in 19th position. Behind them are Ireland who currently occupy 22nd. In 23rd and 24th are Grenada and Hong Kong respectively.
Hong Kong, Singapore and Ireland all met fairly recent last December in the Mission Foods Nations Cup. During that competition, Singapore and Ireland both traded victories and both defeated Hong Kong.
The tournament will be contested under a round robin format with all the teams playing each other once. The top two teams will play each other in the final, while 3rd and 4th will play for the bronze medal.
