Launched in 2023, the World Netball Foundation is a registered charity in England and Wales (No. 1202666) and a registered company (No. 14095933).The World Netball Foundation is governed by a board of Trustees. The Board which consists of a representative, Dame Liz Nicholl  from World Netball and three appointed Independent Trustees who are responsible for setting the direction of the charity and ensuring it is carrying out its charitable purpose. 

The World Netball Foundation is committed to tackling all forms of discrimination and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) across all areas of our work. We are a signatory to UN Women Sport for Generational Equality and aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Meet the Board of Trustees

Dame Liz Nicholl DBE

Dame Liz Nicholl DBE is an experienced leader, collaborator and influencer with an extensive knowledge of the national and international sporting landscape. Acknowledged and respected amongst peers for leading through vision and values focused on commitment to excellence, teamwork and integrity.

Kylie Bates

With 20 years’ experience working in sport and social change sector, Kylie has worked and is working with a wide range of key players including IOC, UN Women, Australian Government, UNICEF and WaterAid, undertaking design and strategy development, brokering partnerships, leading change processes and implementing programmes, monitoring and evaluation.

Ms. Muditambi aka “Ntambi” Ravele

Ms. Muditambi aka “Ntambi” Ravele is a former World Netball Board Member and Netball South Africa President. Ntambi worked for the national Department of Sport and Recreation in South Africa before founding the South African Women and Sport Foundation (SAWASF) which is a key player in girls and women sport advocacy, mentoring, research and leadership.

Gary Young

Gary Young is an experienced business leader driving the operation and strategic development of one of the UK’s largest IT Services businesses. He acts as the company’s lead for social value, actively contributing to the work of the National Social Value Taskforce. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Manchester Thunder responsible for commercial and strategic development.
